Hayden McGriff
My name is Hayden McGriff, and I’m honored to give back by sharing my passion for baseball, America’s pastime. I'd like to express my gratitude to all the coaches who dedicate their time to shaping young minds.
Born in Rapid City, SD, in 1998, I was raised by my incredible parents, Karla and Kasey, who taught me about respect, honesty, and, most importantly, love. This love extended to my entire family, instilling in me a deep passion for baseball from an early age.
My baseball journey began in Little League at Harney, where I reached the LLWS in 2011. I then played for Post 22 during high school before moving to Houston, TX, to graduate from Atascocita High School and earn a scholarship to Blinn College. My path continued at North Lake College in Dallas, where I competed at a high level before ending my college baseball career.
Although my playing days are over, my love for the game endures. I’m now back in Rapid City, playing softball, working at Weather-Tite Exteriors, and cherishing the relationships and experiences I've gained. Baseball and competitive sports have taught me invaluable lessons in mental toughness, preparing me for life’s challenges. I am excited to pass on this knowledge to future generations and am forever grateful to baseball for shaping who I am today.
